UNPRI

We at Limestone believe, that companies that are able to manage environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues increase the value of our investment. We consider that it is a fiduciary duty to our clients and the society in general to motivate sustainable business practises among the businesses we invest in and to incorporate ESG issues to our investment decision process. We understand, that the materiality of these issues is reflected in our investment analysis by increased perception of business risks and earnings visibility. Therefore, in order to show our commitment to responsible investment practises, Limestone has signed the UN Principles for Responsible Investment, an investor initiative in partnership with UNEP FI and UN Global Compact.

The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) were developed by an international group of insititutional investors reflecting the increasing relevance of environmental, social and corporate governance issues to investment practises. The process was convened by United Nations Secretary General in April 2006. As of August 2008, over 400 institutions have signed the UNPRI representing $15 trillion in assets under management.

The 6 Principles

1. We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
2. We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
3. We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
4. We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry.
5. We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles.
6. We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.
